Lauren: Water and Work: An Exciting Day at Emma’s

Despite my late arrive to PLACE, I’ve begun to feel more and more integrated into the group as a whole, and today felt particularly cohesive.

We met at Emma’s house on Skyline and I thought working in small groups was an exciting and efficient way to stay focused and explore our group topics. Collaborating with Connor, Emma, Jacob, Ben and Kaylee was especially fun for me, since it was the first time I’d spent any time with most of them. Connor and I had a great experience interviewing an extremely interesting expert of urban design at RAD Lab, and I was proud of our group’s results overall.

The rest of the day seemed to go by quickly, with pool games and handstand competitions following a scenic walk to lunch. More than anything, today cleared all doubts I had about the cohesion of our group, further proving not only how well we can work together, but also just enjoy spending time together as one big group.
